It is my honor and privilege to welcome you all to Galkayo University (GU), the hub of Higher Education in Somalia, on behalf of the University Executive Board (Mufed), Management, all Staff, and all Students. GU was Established in 2010 to deliver full-time and part-time programs in different high-quality faculties disciplines through instruction and training. GU is one Somalia’s Private Universities and a non-profit academic institution. It has two campuses and is located in the Galkayo-Somalia.
Galkayo University(GU) is established in Galkayo, the capital city of the Mudug region of Somalia, with the sole objective to contribute and develop the educational provisions of high educations necessary for the inhabitants of the Galmudug region, its surrounding provinces, and ultimately all over Somalia.
Galkayo University is administered by Mudug Foundation for Education Development (MUFED) which is set up by 55 Somali professionals in Somalia and outside Somalia (doctors, engineers, lecturers, teachers, lawyers, computer scientists, business people, and other respected individuals) founded Galkayo University.
The Galkayo University Alumni Association is excited to announce the arrival of GU Alumni Connect. This is a new community building platform for Galkayo’s alumni. It is the only place online where you can find, and connect with, all 90,000 Galkayo`s alumni. All alumni are automatically enrolled!
